Steven and Jessica's fundraiser for Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven

Steven Thrush is raising money for Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven

Breast to Brest challenge · 1 May 2026

We are your local breast cancer charity supporting the women and men of Worcestershire with their breast care needs. We aim to make the new Worcestershire Breast Unit one of the best units in the UK, providing clinical services, support and assistance over and above what the NHS can offer.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

2026 is a year of celebration as it marks 10 years since the Worcestershire Breast Unit opened its doors and the Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven charity began its vital work supporting patients with breast cancer in Worcestershire. Over this decade, approximately 51,000 individuals have sought help through our breast services, with 6,768 of those receiving a diagnosis of breast cancer. The Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven charity exists to provide essential emotional and practical support from the moment of diagnosis, throughout treatment and into recovery—offering services that go beyond what the NHS can provide.

We are excited to share that we will be participating in the "Breast to Brest challenge"—a personal cycling adventure that has evolved from an earlier virtual event. This year, we will be joined by 20 like-minded individuals as we cycle from the Worcestershire Breast Unit in Worcester all the way to Brest in France.

This four-day challenge will see us leave Worcester, travel down to the South coast, cross over the Channel, and journey through France—averaging around 70 miles a day to complete this incredible 300-mile adventure. Training for this journey is essential, and our team is already hard at work preparing for this challenge.

We kindly ask for your support in motivating us by making a donation. Our target is £2,000, and every penny raised will go directly towards helping patients in Worcestershire who are facing breast cancer. Your generosity can make a significant difference in their lives. Thank you for your support.
