This October, a group of Deutsche Bank employees will take on an epic trek in Morocco, climbing Mt Toubkal, to raise vital funds to support families facing dementia.

Story

Later this year, alongside a team of 30 colleagues, I will be taking part in an epic trekking challenge in support of Dementia UK.

Over 5 gruelling days we will hike the slopes and valleys of the High Atlas Mountains to summit Mount Toubkal, the highest mountain in North Africa at 4167m, with the altitude adding to the challenge of the rocky and tough-going terrain.

• 1 in 4 beds in the NHS are occupied by patients affected by dementia

• 700,000 relatives and friends care for people living with dementia

• Health is negatively affected for 60% of carers

• Families face significant social and financial inequalities, with care costs up to 40% higher than other conditions.

• Only 17% feel they have enough support

Dementia UK help families face dementia

• 466 Admiral Nurses provide free, life-changing support and advice to anyone affected by dementia

• Practical, emotional and clinical support, helping families to have the best possible life for as long as possible

I will be covering the cost of my trip. All of the money raised through sponsorship will go directly to Dementia UK and Deutsche Bank will be matching donations up to a total of £1000 per team member!

Thank you for your support.
