Gemma stevenson is raising money for Sexual Assault and Abuse Support Service Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes

Milton Keynes Marathon Weekend 2025 · 4 May 2025 to 5 May 2025 ·

SAASSBMK started supporting survivors of sexual violence in 1995 as Aylesbury Vale Rape Crisis, which means that 2025 marks our 30th Anniversary. To mark this occasion we aim to raise £30,000 to support even more survivors of sexual violence.

Story

Sexual Assault and Abuse Support Service Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes has been providing support to survivors of sexual violence and domestic abuse of all genders over the age 5 across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes. We are one of the few Rape Crisis centres in England and Wales that supports survivors of all genders.

Rape Crisis England and Wales estimate that 1 in 4 women and ManKind estimate that 1 in 6 men have experienced sexual violence. We have seen an increase in demand for our services, up 13% from last year.

Myself,Pete and Issy are taking part in the 5km Rocket run on May 4th. We want to raise funds for the charity I work for Saassbmk. I am proud of all the work we do at Saassbmk. In these hard times funding is limited. It would be amazing if we could hit our target so the money can go towards support survivors of sexual violence.
