On turning 60 this year I wanted to do an appropriate challenge. I am planning to cycle at least 60 miles a day for 60 consecutive days from 1 July to 29 August 2023.

I am aiming to raise £3600 - equivalent to £1 per mile - for Parkinson's UK.

I chose this charity because a friend and former work colleague of mine was diagnosed with Parkinson's when in his early forties. It has been very upsetting to see the deterioration of a fit and active family man with two children.

If all goes to plan I hope to do the final ride on a 60 year old bike just to round off the challenge.
