Cuthbert is living his best life despite being born with an undiagnosed neurological condition meaning he can't sit, stand, talk, or swallow. He's ten this year and is an absolute superhuman and luckily has amazing parents for constant care and support, my friends Peter and Felicity. A lot of the specialist therapy and equipment he needs is just not available on the NHS, so if you could help out with any donation, no matter how small, it would mean the world to the family. I've certainly felt humbled by their strength and positivity and it puts life into perspective for me.

The UTMB OCC is a 57km race from Orsières in Switzerland, through Courmayeur in Italy, finishing in Chamonix in France, taking in 3500m (11,400 ft) of climbing and descent. This will be a difficult one for me to finish but I'll give it my best shot to cross the line under the 14hr 30min cut off time.
