Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever you are, we’re with you to the end. We bring 75 years of experience and leading research to the care we give you at home, in our hospices and over the phone.

Story

On the 15th August 2024 I will be travelling to the port of Dover (along with two friends Martyn Heale & Andrew Jackson) and we will be getting a ferry over to Dunkirk, France. From there we will be cycling through France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Serbia, Bulgaria before completing our cycle in Turkey. The trip is expected to be over 2,000 miles long and will take approximately 10 weeks to complete.

In October 2014 my mum, Catherine Kerr, was admitted to the Marie Curie Hospice at Fairmilehead for end of life care. The care she received was out of this world and this cycle allows me to give something back to Marie Curie for the incredible work they undertake.

Thanks to Soul Cycles (Tollcross, Edinburgh) for helping me get a bike ready for this journey.
