I survived a cardiac arrest in June 2023 and as a way of expressing my thanks to Frimley Hospital, KSS Air Ambulance and the British Heart Foundation, I am doing a sprint distance triathlon in July 2024 for charity. I want to raise money for The British Heart Foundation, Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance and The Children of Masindi charity.

The Children of Masindi is a UK based charity which is very close to my heart. It is a charity started by my sister, Karen, that helps support children and young people in Masindi, Uganda, focusing on those with disabilities and special educational needs.

I will be doing the Dorney Evening Sprint Triathlon on July 3rd with my son Tyler and nephew Dave.

I am also doing this triathlon in memory of Chris, a very good friend at whose funeral a gave a eulogy only two days before my cardiac arrest.
