St Giles Hospice provides vital care to local people, and their loved ones, living with a terminal illness. Our dedicated team provides individually-tailored care, free of charge, either at the hospice or in patients’ own homes across our communities.

Story

This November we are taking on a 3 day trek through the Sahara desert. Travelling 50km from Ouarzazate to Taghbalt, Morocco, we will face a challenging journey across difficult terrain and high temperatures.

So many of us have sadly had some experience with end of life care, and hospices like St Giles are critical to our community!

These services are only 25% government funded - meaning roughly £7.5million has to be raised every single year to be able to continue.

Having personally experienced the services on offer at St Giles, and Aimee now working there sees first hand the difference it makes to families living with a terminal illness on a daily basis - because of this we have decided to give something back and raise money for an incredible cause.

We hope you can support us in hitting our fundraising goal to support St Giles in their 40th anniversary year - so they can continue to help people for the next 40 years, and beyond.

Every £1 makes such a difference!

🧡 £76 could pay for one hour of our advice and support.

🧡 £300 could pay for a visit to a patient in their own home by our community nurses.

🧡 £676 could pay for 24 hours of hospice care for a patient at the end of their life.

Thank you so much for any support you can give to this fantastic cause.
