This year our History Club went to We Have Ways Fest, a fantastic Second World War festival. It is a tradition that people wear Hawaiian shirts there on the Saturday ( the worse the better! ) to raise money for Finley's Touch, and we loved joining in and wearing our awful shirts with pride!

We want to do more to help though, and so this year we will also be having our very own Mini March For Finley on Thursday October 1st. We have been inspired by all of the other marches that people who go to the festival and listen to the We Have Way podcast have arranged around the country and we will be marching via the Sudbury War Memorial to Pilot Fields, a playground next door to the old RAF Sudbury site at Chilton Fields, which was home to the American 486th Bombardment Group ( Heavy ) in 1944 and 1945.

Finley’s Touch are an incredible charity who support seriously ill children and their families by providing Hospital Comfort Bags full of practical and comforting items for long admissions and also offering financial support to those families through grants. Their mission is to spread fun, happiness and hope and we are proud to support them.
