Still Alive 25 // 25 hours playing catch for suicide prevention

Aaron Rook is raising money for If U Care Share Foundation

Still Alive 25

If U Care Share Foundation is a local charity focusing on suicide prevention, bereavement support and promoting positive mental health in our communities.

Story

I am attempting a world record attempt of playing catch non-stop for 25 hours in order to raise money for suicide prevention.

No breaks. No rest. Just ball.

Because dark thoughts don't give you a chance to relax and suicide can strike out anyone.

Why Still Alive 25?

25 is how old I was when I first contemplated taking my own life. It's also the age Red Sox All-Star Jarren Duran was when he tried to take his life.

The 'Still Alive' name comes from a mantra that Duran writes on his wrist before every game as a reminder that he is still here and still fighting.

Every penny you donate goes directly to supporting the incredible lifesaving work of If U Care Share, the North East's leading suicide prevention and postvention charity.

Dates and venue are still TBC. I will update ASAP.
