Story

St Thomas Indian Orthodox Church (STIOC) and Orthodox Christian Youth Movement (OCYM) Liverpool are organising two fundraising events to support the children's charity The Candlelighters Trust. Since 1976 The Candlelighters charity has been helping children with cancer and their families through their most testing times. We aim to complete two events this summer from which we aim to raise awareness and money for this great charity whilst improving fellowship amongst ourselves.

Firstly, on July 22nd 2023 the members for STIOC and OCYM Liverpool will be undertaking a +10 miles walking or +30 miles biking event along the Liverpool Loop Trail. Secondly in August 2023 we will be climbing the Yorkshire Three Peaks (more information to follow). We will be grateful if you could donate whatever your can for this great cause so that this charity can continue supporting our communities who are going through difficult times.

If you are interested in joining us for the first event please use the interest form below to sign up and to receive further details. We invite our sisters and brothers from other churches to also join us in the endeavour and to join in our fellowship to strengthen the ecumenical bonds between our churches.
