Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are a team of teachers from St Laurence Primary School joining forces with a team of parishioners from St Laurence's Church being led by Bishop Philip North on an abseil down the church bell tower to raise money for a new roof and enable the church to continue the fundamental work they do.

St Laurence's Church in Chorley care passionately about caring for the local community and provide many services to support this.

Each week, they provide hot meals to anyone who needs them, a sit-down two course meal on Monday nights and a pay what you can café on Tuesday - Friday. This is all supported by their wellness hub which allows them to offer parish nursing services, CAP debt centre and many other support groups.

To continue this vital work, the building needs to remain safe and secure. As the oldest building in Chorley, the building is in need of some repairs and especially the roof. Your kind donations will support the 'Raise the Roof' Appeal.
