Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Dom and Jo are going wing-walking! This intrepid feat is self-funded but they would love your support .. and your money.
What is wing-walking?
It involves climbing on top of a bi-plane and then flying around for a bit.
When and where are they doing it?
October 2nd 2026, Headcorn Aerodrome at 12pm.
Why on earth are they doing it??
To raise money for the St. Martin’s Development Fund in Canterbury.
St.Martin’s is an amazing part of our English history and heritage – it is the oldest church in the English-speaking world in continuous use and has been a place of pilgrimage and prayer since 580 AD. It is part of the UNESCO world heritage site with Canterbury Cathedral and St.Augustine’s Abbey but receives no funding from either the Government or Church of England, and it needs work doing!
Every year, over 10,000 people visit St.Martin’s. To properly care for this amazing place and extend the welcome it is able to provide, there are plans under discussion to make it more physically accessible and to open up the historic layout, while fully preserving the unique Anglo-Saxon and medieval archaeology; also to have a separate, self-sustaining community space, café and guest house.
We would be grateful for your support.
Thank you,
Jo and Dom
