Story
In April 2026, I will embark on a memorable journey, attempting to walk from Mexico to Canada, covering a staggering distance of over 2,653 miles. Starting in the breathtaking high desert of California, I will traverse the majestic High Sierra mountains and continue through the stunning Cascade range. My path will lead me through Northern California into Oregon and finally into Washington State, culminating at the Canadian border, around 6 months later.
This trek is not just a personal challenge; it represents the biggest test of my life to date. As I take each step along this incredible trail, I am hoping to raise funds for the "Alzheimer's Society", an organization that provides vital support and resources for individuals and families affected by this devastating disease.
I invite you to join me on this journey. Your support can make a significant difference in the lives of those battling Alzheimer’s. Together, we can help raise awareness and funds to further research and provide assistance for those in need. My target is to raise an ambitious £2,653 for this noble cause. Every contribution counts and brings us one step closer to making a positive impact.
I will be recording my progress through an online blog with photographs of the magnificent scenery if you want to accompany me. I have thought long and hard about adding pressure by seeking sponsorship to raise funds for charity but numerous people asked if I'll do the walk for charity and it would be wasteful not to use my energy to help those less fortunate.
I appreciate I've set a very ambitious goal but hopefully my 6 months living on trail with all my possessions on my back will give us time to raise as much as possible for this worthwhile cause.
