Story
This year, the CARITAS team have decided to hold a Big Sleep Out Day on Friday 27th March. In previous years, a small group of children have done this, however this year, the CARITAS team felt all children in school should take part.
The aim of the day is to help children reflect on the challenges faced by people experiencing homelessness. A Big Sleep Out is not intended to replicate sleeping rough, but to encourage us all to pause and think about what many young people and adults in our local area face every day.
As a school, we are hoping to help provide people:
• Meals at local day centres
• Essential clothing and toiletries
• Basic mobile phones to stay in contact with support services
If we raise £200, we could provide hot lunch for 320 people at a CARITAS day centre.
Thank you for your support
