Story
On Saturday the 23rd of March, my colleagues and I will raise our adrenaline and money for the Stockport Mayors Charity, in partnership with the Stockport Sea Cadets, by Abseiling down Stopford House. An Iconic, brutalist 6-story building in the heart of Stockport.
The abseil has become a regular feat in the calendar for the Mayor of Stockport’s Charity, raising precious funds for a local cause.
Stockport has an estimated 1,670 charity and volunteer-led groups who every day of the year do amazing things for local citizens. They feed the hungry, combat homelessness, raise money to fight cancer, care for our environment, tackle our mental health crisis, promote animal welfare, and more.
Whether at sea or on land, the Sea Cadets offer young people across the UK amazing opportunities for personal development - by learning new skills and working in teams - we offer an environment where young people find new confidence and inspiration. -
If you, like us, support the causes of The Mayor of Stockport's Charity and partnerships, and you're able to part with a donation of any amount - all proceeds go directly to supporting the selected charities endevours.
