Story
Every year the team at Stockigns/Messagemaker Displays, along with some of our customers & suppliers take on an epic challenge in the aid of raising money for our local charity - The Children's Trust. Last year we scaled Greece’s highest mountain, the mighty Mt Olympus and raised a truely amazing £17,400.00.
We are back again with another challenge for 2025, this year we will be taking on ‘The Lost Mountain’, Monte Perdido in the Spanish Pyrenees. This year’s mountain is even bigger with a summit of 11,000ft!
This is a 2 day trek to the summit and back down again. We will be staying overnight at 7,200ft in a mountain hut and taking on the summit on day 2.
The final ascent to the summit is where it gets really tricky, ice fields, scree slopes and some jaw dropping heights.
It will require nerves of steel as well as a lot of fitness to top the mighty Lost Mountain. At 11,000ft the altitude will make a real difference.
Our chosen charity is again The Children’s Trust. The UK’s leading charity for children with injury. Based in Tadworth (local to our HQ) the Trust runs a range of specialist care, education and therapy services for children and young people from across the UK and the UK’s largest rehabilitation centre for children with acquired brain injury (ABI)
