Story
St Oswald's is a friendly church and we would love to welcome you. The church building stands at the centre of the village of Winwick on raised ground, welcoming all who pass through.
In previous years, members of St Oswald’s Church here in Winwick, with the help of the community, have spent many hours and much energy raising a considerable amount of money, some £300,000, to repair the church roof to enable people to gather for worship and significant life events in the beautiful and historic sacred space.
To continue to keep the church open and useable we now find that money is needed for essential repairs to the church hall roof and water pipework in the church. As the church hall and the church are used by many different community groups and people, we are launching a crowd fund so that members of the wider Winwick community and beyond can contribute to the cost of these essential repairs.
Our initial target is £10,000. Please give as you can and if you are a taxpayer, give in such a way that enables the tax on your donation to be reclaimed.
All funds received will be restricted to the Church and its buildings.
