1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime. The risk increases depending on age, ethnicity and family history. It's the most common form of cancer in men, and a man loses his life to the disease every 45 minutes in the UK.
The numbers may be harrowing but the earlier it's caught, the more likely it is to be cured. That's why it's so important to ensure that men are aware of the symptoms and testing.
With that in mind, eight men from St Philips Chambers are aiming to complete four rounds of golf in one day on Friday 28th June. Starting with the sunrise at 5:30am, we will each walk roughly 30km, battling both the elements and our rather dubious golf skills, hoping to finish before the sun sets.
We are so grateful for your support. Your funds will directly help Prostate Cancer UK as they work to implement screening programmes to catch the disease early, develop new treatments to keep men with their families for longer, and to support those who are diagnosed.
