Story
We’re a group of old friends wanting to help our buddy, Jimbo, and raise some money to support the work of the Multiple Sclerosis Society (MS Society UK).
Jim has MS that affects his legs and makes sustained periods on his feet a real challenge. Imagine our surprise then, to find he’d signed up to do a 10k run for MS Society UK! As his oldest and ‘unfittestest’ friends (if that’s a word!), and with no excuse given the circs, we have decided to dust off our old training shoes and donate our knees to the cause.
He doesn’t know this yet, but we will be joining Jim on the start line of the Henley River 10k on 11th April to give him a boost and (very likely) a good deal of physical support* to get him round.
* on this point, if anyone has any suggestions please let us know. So far, we've considered bringing a pair of roller skates, a wheelbarrow, and an awful lot of helium balloons!
We know 10km doesn’t seem all that impressive but it’s pretty mega for some people and we’d love to raise as much as we can to support our good friend and a great cause.
All donations go directly to MS Society UK. For more information about the condition and the wonderful work the charity does, please visit https://www.mssociety.org.uk/
