The 2026 Captains at Stratford upon Avon Golf Club have chosen to jointly support Shipston Home Nursing. The charity year officially begins on April 1st.
As upcoming captains of Stratford upon Avon golf club we are thrilled to be able to support Shipston Home Nursing as our chosen charity. Our choice was inspired by George Forster, a young man in our community who will be cared for by Shipston Home Nursing when the time comes. The support they will give to him and his family goes above and beyond. Many other people have subsequently approached us and told us how Shipston Home Nursing have supported someone in their lives. Not only is this for George it’s for everyone that needs SHN. I can't wait to see how much we can raise for them. Gayna Marcus, 2026 - 2027 Ladies Captain.
Shipston Home Nursing is a hospice at home charity, providing palliative and end of life nursing care, enabling patients to remain in the comfort of their own homes following the diagnosis of a terminal illness.
This care is provided FREE of charge to adults in Shipston, Kineton, Bidford, Wellesbourne and surrounding villages. Services include nurse-led symptom control and pain management, respite sits, personal care and emotional support for patients and their families.
Referrals can be made directly from patients or from their families and carers, GPs or other health professionals.
