🎮 Riverboat Games Charity Stream for SpecialEffect

We are Riverboat Games, a student development team from Abertay University and DARE Academy 2025 finalists. On Thursday, September 25th, 2025, at 18:00 (BST) we’re going live with a special charity stream in support of the incredible charity SpecialEffect.

Why we’re streaming

Our aim is twofold:

Raise funds to support SpecialEffect, a charity that helps people with disabilities enjoy video games to the fullest through bespoke accessibility solutions.

Learn and grow as developers by inviting the community to give us feedback on our DARE Academy game - with a particular focus on accessibility.

We’re not experts, but we’re passionate about designing games that everyone can enjoy. This stream will be a safe, inclusive space for open conversation around accessibility. We’d love to hear from:

- People with lived experience of accessibility needs

- Accessibility specialists and advocates

- Industry professionals

- Fellow students, peers, and university staff

- Anyone interested in games and inclusion!
