Story
For the fourth time, I'll be taking on The Big Mountain Challenge in support of Thames Hospice. This year, it's taking place in Provence France and will include the legendary Tour De France climb - Mt Ventoux!!
As it's my final year in my 40's (shocking I know!!), I decided it was only fitting to push myself harder than before — so this year I've committed to the Kilimanjaro group, riding roughly 200 miles and climbing the equivalent height of Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895m) over 3.5 days.
I owe a huge thanks to the amazing cycling friends I've made through BMC, who've pushed me to get out more often: from conquering Mount Teide in Tenerife, to riding Col de la Colombière and Col des Aravis in a single day. Thanks to them, I have had more time in the saddle and am feeling more confident than I have in years past but don't worry, it is still going to hurt, allot!
As I think most of you know, this incredible event is organised by my husband (Jason Bevan) in loving memory of his late father, Paul Bevan, the team at Bikeweekender.com and a team of volunteers who lead us every day!
Thank you so much for support!!
