Hi, I'm Tony Gervin, and I'm stepping onto the Strictly stage for a cause that's deeply personal.

I lost my nephew to suicide in January 2011 at the age of 23—a tragedy that followed the loss of his mum, my sister, to cancer in 2001. These profound losses have shaped my life and fuel my drive to make a difference.

I love a challenge and make it a point to learn something new every year. By day, I'm an assistant manager at Newell Stores in Coalisland, and I'm also actively involved with the Craic Theatre in Coalisland, performing and directing plays and productions.

Taking on Strictly is one of the biggest challenges I've ever embraced. No matter how tough the rehearsals get, I always leave with a smile on my face. It's incredibly fun and has introduced me to a circle of friends I’d never have met otherwise.
