Story
This June, we are embarking on a heartfelt journey to cover 106 miles of walking and running. Our mission is to support children and their families during their most challenging times. We aim to raise essential funds to ensure that families at Crossbasket House receive the care and support they truly deserve while their child is receiving treatment at Glasgow Children's Hospital.
Last October, Calvin & Mel spent the first two months of Aurora's life in Glasgow Children's Hospital, facing overwhelming challenges. Aurora was born with a rare condition that affects less than 1 in a million children, requiring surgery to have a Tracheostomy inserted and ongoing round the clock care. During this difficult time, they found solace and support at Crossbasket House, which provided them with a warm bed, a place to prepare meals, and the opportunity to connect with others facing similar struggles. The staff there became an extended family, offering compassion and understanding when it was needed most.
Many families across Scotland find themselves in similar situations, relying on Crossbasket House for comfort and assistance during their hospital stays. The incredible services they provide are vital for families navigating such trying circumstances. We believe that they deserve our unwavering support.
As we prepare for "Stride the Clyde 2025" on June 1st, 2025, we invite you to join us in making a difference. Our target is to raise a minimum of £250 to help sustain the invaluable resources offered by Crossbasket House. Together, we can ensure that no family has to face these challenges alone. Your generosity can help continue this essential work for those who need it most.
