SIFT is a Christian charity, committed to transforming the lives of the poor in Nicaragua. SIFT's projects include sponsoring children for education, supporting an orphanage, providing healthcare to local communities and building a new community for people facing eviction from their island homes.

Story

This May I'll be returning to Wales and continuing my long distance walk along the Wales Coast Path. My walk this year starts in the village of Amroth, near to the famous Pendine Sands. I'll be following the coast east through Carmarthenshire, around the Gower, and finishing in Swansea. All in all, I'll be walking a total of 123 miles over 8 days.

I'll doing this challenge to raise money to help SIFT provide primary healthcare in Nicaragua. Every week Dr Sandra and her team of nurses bring everyday healthcare to rural communities on Ometepe. It's the kind of health service that we value here in the UK, and it really makes a difference to the lives of the poor.

I'm hoping to raise at least £2,000 through this challenge, which will provide free medicines for two months for everyone seen by Dr Sandra and the nurses.
