Story
Once again in 2026 I’ll be running for Alzheimer’s Research UK, in memory of my Dad, Ian, who passed away in April 2020 after a 9 year battle with this cruel disease.
I’m running to raise funds to help research work for a cure, so that future generations don’t have to go through the trauma of watching a loved one be gradually consumed by this dreadful disease.
Despite my body increasingly creaking and complaining I’ll take on my fifth London Marathon on April 26th, aged 66, before running my first Berlin Marathon on September 27th, by which time the hands of time will have carried me to age 67 👴🏼.
Wish me luck - any donations large or small will be really appreciated and keep me going through the long winter months of training 🙏🏽🧡 Thanks.
