SPS Ben Nevis Challenge 2026

Team: Step Up for Shared Parenting - Ben Nevis Challenge Spring 2026

Shared Parenting Scotland promotes Shared Parenting. Kids whose parents split up should have an ongoing, caring and nurturing relationship with both their parents. Kids who maintain contact with both their parents have better outcomes now and in later life. Help us to promote shared parenting.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Saturday 16 May 2026, we are taking on the challenge of the UK's highest peak because every child has the right to a loving relationship with both parents - even when parents separate.

Any money raised will go directly to Shared Parenting Scotland. The organisation works every day to support parents through one of life’s toughest transitions - ensuring that children don’t lose the people they love most.

The climb is a symbol of the challenge many families face navigating complex court processes, delays, and emotional strain.

We’re stepping up to say: children deserve better. Better support, better systems, and better outcomes.

Key Messages:

● No child should feel they’ve lost a parent just because their parents separated.

● Climbing a mountain is hard - but so is navigating family court. We promote the alternatives.

● Together, we can help families find alternative paths - keeping the rights of children at the centre.

Fundraising Target:

£5,200 – £4.00 for every metre scaled - please consider being part of it!

Funds raised will support:

● Bolstering our national helpline and growing our local group meetings offer.

● Support training and resources for parents and professionals.

● Increasing advocacy and policy influence to support parents and protect children’s rights after separation.
