John O'Groats to Lands End · 21 May 2025

Acorns supports around 750 children and almost 1,000 families every year. The charity needs to raise £11 million each year to provide its lifeline care. Your support means Acorns can continue to be there for local families facing the unimaginable. Together, we are stronger.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. This event will be raising money for Acorns Childrens Hospice in the Midlands.

Acorns offer services which include short breaks for children at our hospices, therapeutic and psychosocial support, support for siblings and other family members, emergency and end of life care and bereavement support. They offer help in the Hospice, at home and in the community.

Their vision is that every baby, child and young person living in the region who is life limited or life threatened and their families will receive the specialist care and support they need.

Their mission is to provide essential specialist palliative care services to babies, children, young people and their families across the region, deliver these services in partnership with others and to champion the cause of children’s palliative care

To raise funds I will be cycling from John O'Groats to Lands End over 10 days averaging over 100 miles per day. I have set a target of £10,000 to help this great charity and the work they do to support very sick children and their families.

I would appreciate anything you can donate as it will all make a big difference. I would also appreciate sharing my page and spreading the word to maximise donations.

Thank you

Stuart
