You've all seen the TV show - whether you want to admit it or not - but instead of being a celebrity, or being whisked off to Australia and having to jump out of a helicopter and contend with "the outback"; it's going to be me and a group of other like minded individuals, being taken out of our comfort zone and completing challenges to raise awareness for Crossroads Care Surrey and the daily challenges their unpaid carers contend with.

"In Surrey alone, there are over 120,000 unpaid carers, which is more than 10% of its population. These unpaid carers selflessly care for their loved ones, often at the expense of their own physical and mental health. They are the glue that holds families together, providing vital care 24/7 without holidays, sick pay, or a break.

Crossroads Care Surrey exists to support these unsung heroes by offering much-needed respite breaks, from companionship visits to end-of-life care. This support not only helps carers recharge but also prevents early hospital admissions and reduces pressure on the NHS, saving the UK economy £132 billion annually.
