London Halloween Walk 2025 · 25 October 2025 ·

Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for East Sussex, West Sussex, Brighton and Hove and South East Hampshire, caring for 300 children and young adults from 0-19 years of age, both at the hospice and in families’ own homes.

Story

Myself, Boo, Tilly and Carrie will be undertaking a 10km walk on the 25th October 2025 dressed as pickles in memory of our little pickle Reuben.

Chestnut tree house made it possible for us to just be parents to Roo in the 3 weeks we stayed there. They fed and housed us and Reuben, both grandads and Roo’s auntie and uncle while we got to be a family and spend time with Roo using their amazing facilities to take Roo swimming, visit home twice, take Roo on days out to the seaside and do things we never dreamed we would be able to do with our pickle. All whilst providing end of life care and emotional support for all of us. We will never be able to thank them for the time they gave us and all the help we continue to recieve in our grief and loss.

It costs roughly six million pounds a year to run chestnut, please consider donating 🖤

Chestnut Tree House is a children’s charity providing hospice care and community support for children and young people with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions.

There are hundreds of children and young people in your local community who are unlikely to reach adulthood. And even more parents and family members who need care, help and support on their journey, as they don't know how long they will have together.

Your support helps families to spend time together. Precious moments that give a lifetime of memories.
