Harrogate Big Sleepout

The Big Harrogate Sleepout · 3 October 2024
Today trauma is prevalent in the narrative of many people’s lives. And for far too many, it’s their pathway to addiction, isolation and homelessness.
In the UK, it’s estimated that upto 70% of us will experience a trauma at some point in our lives. And whilst in the majority of cases, we’ll experience some mild and short-term distress, the statics are a stark reminder of just how vulnerable our modern society is to its impact.
That’s why on Thursday 3rd of October, I’m taking part in the inaugural Big Harrogate Sleepout, to walk in the shoes of those less fortunate who spend many nights out in the elements, and raise awareness of the issue of homelessness and insecure accommodation.
This event marks a significant milestone in efforts to support the homeless and those at risk of homelessness in Harrogate and giving your support and a donation couldn’t be easier.
Please feel free to come along to Harrogate Rugby Club to lend your support and please give what you can to this vital cause.
Thank you
Stuart
