Story
On Sunday evening on the 3rd May 2026 I was sat quietly watching TV with Mrs B when I suddenly passed away after having a Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
I was lucky Sarah (Mrs B) was sat next to me a noticed straight away and began CPR immediately whilst calling 999, with in 10 minutes a paramedic from Lives was at our house and took over my resuscitation. 10 minutes later the ambulance arrived shortly followed by the Air Ambulance doctor.
They worked on me for a further 25 minutes and thankfully got me back, I then spent 3 wees in LCH in ICU and finally cardiology where they fitted me with an ICD in my chest as a failsafe should it happen again.
Lives were absolutely critical in my chain of survival and their prompt response was crucial in my survival.
Its now time for me to give me something back and to that end I will be undertaking the Lincoln half marathon on the 4th of Oct, so please be generous and donate some money to support this wonderful organisation who do amazing Work.
