Thanks for taking the time to visit my page..I was overjoyed to be selected to run through the ballot...This will be my 10th Great North Run after having to sit last year out. I was unfortunately diagnosed with thyroid cancer, I had 2 operations to have my thyroid removed. I have lost 2 very good friends in the last 6 months to cancer, it can come at you at any time. I'm running to raise awareness and raise some funds for this great charity , the butterfly thyroid cancer trust....Thanks for reading my story
