Story
Hi! I’m taking on the incredible challenge of trekking to Everest Base Camp on the 18th October 2025, to raise vital funds for Willen Hospice in Milton Keynes.
Willen Hospice provides essential palliative and end-of-life care for people with life-limiting illnesses, supporting not only patients but also their families.
They need to raise £8.7 million each year to provide their services free of charge. With less than 15% of their funding coming from the NHS, they rely heavily on the generosity of local supporters to continue their mission.
My goal is to raise £3,500 to ensure that they can provide essential services to those in need. Together, we can make a significant impact in the lives of many families facing difficult times.
I will be hiking the Everest Base Camp 11-day, 130km trek along breath-taking scenery, visiting some of the highest villages in the world, and admiring sunrises over the Himalayan snow-capped peaks and Khumbu Glacier.
With an elevation of up to 5,550m on the summit of Kala Patthar, this will be far from a walk in the park! Testing my physical and mental strength along the way it’s going to be a huge challenge, but the thought of supporting Willen Hospice makes every step worthwhile.
Your generous donations will directly help Willen Hospice provide vital services to those who need them most. Every penny counts, and together, we can make a difference in the lives of so many.
I am also running the Midlands Tough Mudder 15km on 6th July 2025 as a starter on my journey for Everest and will take on more challenges in preparation for this; any suggestions are appreciated. Watch this space for more events!
Thank you so much for your support — it means the world to me and to all those who benefit from Willen Hospice’s incredible care.
Let’s reach the summit together!
