Amnesty International UK is movement of ordinary people standing up for humanity and human rights. Some of our campaigns includes refugees, climate change, children's rights, women's rights, and conflict-affected countries. When we unite even the smallest acts of humanity make a difference.

Story

Hi all welcome to my fundraising page.

I am running the rather hilly Giants Head half marathon on June 22, and on October 19 I am in Portsmouth for the Great South Run. I may add some other events along the way, but as always the cause is more important than the challenge.

I have chosen to run for Amnesty International, who do such incredible work. They stand for so much of what I believe in.

It’s important we stand up for those who face injustice and oppression at a time there is so much of it in the world.

Amnesty International is a movement of ordinary people from across the world standing up for humanity and human rights. When injustice happens to one person, it happens to us all.

Recent campaigns include refugee and migrant rights, climate change, children's rights, women's rights, Syrian conflict and LGBTI rights. Amnesty's biggest achievements include outlawing torture, holding war criminals to account and controlling the arms trade.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Your support means everything. Together can make a difference.
