The evenings are getting darker and colder, which means it's time for the Great South Run! Once again, the I'm joining the kids in the Junior & Mini Great South Run this October to raise funds for Portsmouth Down Syndrome Association.

PDSA does such good work, reaching a huge community of people with their outstanding work, helping to give every child with Down Syndrome the best chance of achieving their full potential.

They offer so many amazing services, including:

- Free training to parents, teachers, schools, health professionals, hospitals, maternity services

- Opportunities for young people with Down Syndrome to meet with their peers and develop strong social skills and bonds of friendship

- Regular in-person school services to support children with DS and their teachers to provide tailored teaching plans

- Engagement with government policy to support people with DS, including a key role in establishing the Down Syndrome Act!

We've personally benefitted from this charity over many years and know many other families that have too. We want to make sure they can continue to deliver such excellent services to those who need it!
