At the end of April I will be taking on a new challenge to raise money for a fantastic charity that supports young people and their families going through cancer treatment. Young Lives versus Cancer supported our daughter, Primrose and made such a difference to her at the end of her life and has continued to support our family since she died.

My challenge is to backpack the entire length of the North Wales Pilgrims Way, a total of over 210 km. I will carry everything I need to survive such as tent, sleeping bag and cooking stove. No matter what the weather, I am determined to walk the full distance from Basingwerk Abbey to Ynys Enlli (Bardsey Island) over two weeks. The North Wales Pilgrims Way dates back to the time of the Celtic saints in the 6th century, crossing rugged terrain and visiting a number of historic churches.

Primrose would say I am mad doing this but I think she would be proud of me! My target is to raise £2,000 for Young Lives versus Cancer. Any contribution, however small will help to spur me on along the way and help support young people going through cancer treatment.
