Story
In Africa, 400,000 people die from Malaria every year. 200,000 of these are children. We wanted to help by raising money to buy mosquito nets to help protect those at most risk (young children, pregnant ladies, and the elderly).
Since 2020, 3rd St Albans Griffin Cubs have raised over £10,000 to support the charity in Africa and each £5 raised provides another mosquito net to be distributed by Cub and Scouts groups in Africa.
We now want to raise £500 to save over 100 families from the risk of Malaria before the next rainy season, and we need your help to do it.
On the 9th of June, the Cubs will be running, walking or hopping part of 26.2 mile marathon around Clarence Park in St Albans.
