Story
So after the last 100km Ultra I said never again. But here we are…
In just over two weeks I will be taking part in a 100km (62 miles) Ultra Marathon where I will run/jog/walk/crawl from Putney Bridge to Henley along the Thames Path in one day in aid of the excellent Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
Even better, I’ll be throwing a 15km Tough Mudder into the mix 8 days later!
The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money to improve the lives of people affected by cancer. The charity ensures the Royal Marsden’s world-leading nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
Am I (still) out of my depth? Totally. It’s 2.4 marathons back-to-back. In a day. Will my right knee survive? Maybe. Is it a good cause? Definitely.
