I have been a learning support assistant in schools for over a decade and I am constantly made aware of the needs of young people and their families.

Spotlight UK seeks to ‘relieve the needs of children and young people, their families and careers, who are suffering from a life-limiting condition or mental or physical disability by providing equipment, activities and respite to advance their quality and condition of life.’

To support this work I have gained a place in the London Marathon 2025 and hope to raise at least £1000. It’s been twenty years since I last ran a marathon and will be 65 at the time of running so I need all the support I can get.
