Story
Stuart McLaren, a local professional from Edinburgh who represents Bruntsfield Links Golfing Society, is aiming to raise as much money as possible throughout his 2024 season on The Tartan Pro Tour, a Scottish Professional golf tour set up by former British Open winner Paul Lawrie, for St Columba’s Hospice Care. This charity is one that means a lot to Stuart after his late grandfather, who got him into golf at a young age, and his mum both spent their last couple of weeks in the hospices care.
After a successful amateur career Stuart turned professional in 2020 after spending 5 years in insurance, most recently as a pensions account manager at Royal London. Over the last three years Stuart has competed on Tartan Pro Tour, EuroPro Tour, Challenge Tour and Asian Tour.
This year, for every birdie Stuart makes on The Tartan Pro Tour in 2024 a £2 donation will be made to the hospice, through his just giving page, with £5 for every eagle he makes. Stuart invites you to join him on his journey this season, as he aims to raise as much money for the charity as he can.
Anyone who is willing to support Stuart’s initiative can choose between backing him for the full season or choose individual events throughout the season, 100% of all funds raised will go directly to St Columba’s Hospice.
To find out more about Stuart’s schedule, how to keep track of his results or to ask Stuart more about the fundraiser please contact him directly where he will be happy to answer any questions and provide you with all the relevant information you require.
