WALKING 180 MILES IN 6 DAYS - Walking Back to Happiness with Hector's House

Stuart Owen is raising money for Hector's House

Walking Back to Happiness with Hector's House

Established in memory of Hector Stringer, who died by suicide at 18, our charity is dedicated to proving suicide is preventable and that help is always within reach. Everyone deserves access to life-saving support. With your help, together we can offer hope and save lives.

Story

I'll be walking from home in Berkhamsted to Manchester between Saturday 23rd and Thursday 28th May - 180 miles in six days. This is the most intensive spell of walking I've ever done, so here's hoping for the best!

You can follow the walk here: https://www.instagram.com/pilgrimscairn/

Hector's House is a wonderful charity and I believe passionately in the work that they do. You can read more about them here: https://hectorshouse.org.uk/

Hector Stringer took his life at the tender age of 18. He didn't realise that things can and do get better and he didn't reach out to his friends and family to ask for help when he needed it most. We believe that suicide can be prevented, if we all realise that mental health is fluid, that you can get help, you are not alone, people do care. We are raising money so that hopefully, we can prevent suicide, though increased awareness, education and support.
