As I have done for over a decade, I am again raising money for an amazing charity, Kandy Kids, that has been working in Sri Lanka for many years to transform the lives of young, underprivileged children, mostly in orphanages and children's homes. We aim to give the children opportunities in life that they would not otherwise have.

This is a very small charity and I know exactly how the money is spent by Steve and Edith, who run it. Every penny we raise goes to facilitating the excellent work done in Sri Lanka and we are all committed to ensuring that nothing is wasted.

This year, I will be traversing the Malvern Hills in the English counties of Worcestershire and Herefordshire, hiking end to end (a total distance of around 15km). The route will include ascending the Worcestershire Beacon, the highest point in Worcestershire (425m).

I will be ably assisted by a support team of local friends to ensure that I have some back-up in case of emergency. My thanks to Louise & Steve Wright, Ben Hopkinson and Caroline Bellhouse for their help.
