Running the Manchester Half Marathon in Memory of Katie Walker ❤️
On 18th June 2026, we lost someone who was very close to me, Katie Walker, to cancer. She was just 40 years old.
Last year, with only 4 weeks' notice, I took on the Manchester Half Marathon. Katie was in the middle of the biggest battle of her life, and her strength and determination inspired me to cross that finish line.
This year feels different. I'll be running the Manchester Half Marathon again but im 3 stone heavier and nowhere near as fit, this will be huge challenge , but this time I'll be doing it in Katie's memory.
Katie was an incredible person who was loved by me and by so many others. Her courage, kindness and the way she faced every challenge will never be forgotten. While we can't change what happened, we can honour her memory by coming together and raising money to help others affected by cancer.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference and would mean the world to me. If you're unable to donate, simply sharing this page would be hugely appreciated.
Thank you for your support, and thank you for helping keep Katie's memory alive.
This one's for you, Katie. You'll never be forgotten.love you ❤️
