Story
I'm gearing up for running the Berlin Marathon in less than 2 weeks’ time (on Sunday, 29th September 2024). I’m reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea to support a cause that is personal to me and countless others.
Type 1 diabetes is more than a diagnosis; it’s a daily battle faced by 400,000 individuals in the UK, including over 29,000 children. The impact on families is profound and ongoing. This is why I am running in support of JDRF, a charity dedicated to eradicating type 1 diabetes and alleviating its effects.
JDRF is at the forefront of a global mission to find a cure and improve lives. They are:
- Funding cutting-edge research aimed at curing, treating, and preventing type 1 diabetes.
- Ensuring that breakthroughs reach those who need them as swiftly as possible.
- Providing essential support and advocacy for individuals and families affected by type 1.
Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to this vision. Your contribution will help accelerate life-changing research and support those fighting this condition every day.
Please, consider donating to my marathon effort. Together, we can help turn the tide on type 1 diabetes and bring hope and help to so many who need it.
Thank you
Stuart
