Story
When I first started teaching, the 1st XV rugby team at Bishop Wand School, it was led by an inspirational scrum half Baz Hathaway. I had the great pleasure of not only teaching Baz but, also playing with him in the school old boys team. Our friendship is still strong today. Baz is an incredible inspiration to those who know him, both before and after his diagnosis of MND. He has an amazing family who support him and the strength and resilience they have all shown is such a humbling thing to have been witness to over the years. Motor Neurone Disease affects movement, independence, communication, and quality of life in profound ways. Supporting MND research and care reminds us that movement is something many people lose far too early, and many of us all too often take for granted.
So I am running a 21 Day Qigong and yoga challenge 4 the MND Assoc. By participating in this challenge, people are not only investing in their own health — they are helping support individuals and families facing extraordinary physical challenges every day.
Every breath, stretch, movement, and moment of practice becomes part of something larger:
* improving your own wellbeing,
* raising awareness,
* and contributing to a meaningful cause.
