Story
Blood Cancer UK and the Matthew Wilson Multiple Myeloma Fund have a shared ambition to cure multiple myeloma.
Through investing in science and scientists this fund will improve treatments, survival rates and quality of life for people living with multiple myeloma and drive forward the day when we find a cure.
On 20 September 2025, our amazing team will be trekking a half marathon route through the scenic countryside of West Sussex, all in support of the Matthew Wilson Multiple Myeloma Fund. Together, we can walk towards the day we find a cure.
MY PERSONAL STORY
In December 2017, I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma—a rare and incurable blood cancer. It came totally out of the blue and was a huge shock to me and my family.
Since that day, I’ve been supported by an incredible team of doctors, nurses, and specialists who have been there for me and my family at every step. Their skill, dedication, and kindness have made a huge difference in my life.
Now, it’s my turn to give something back.
On the 20th, I will be trekking to raise funds for Blood Cancer UK and the Matthew Wilson Multiple Myeloma Fund for vital research—to help scientists find a cure and give hope to everyone affected by this disease.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help make a difference. Together, we can bring new treatments closer and support those living with Multiple Myeloma.
Please give what you can and share this page- thank you.
