Story
In April 2022 our 2 year old daughter was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, the next 2.5 years of chemotherapy was a horrific journey words just couldn't capture.
From the day of diagnosis we were supported by The CALM Trust, a local Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Movement, a charity run by parents of children who have been through cancer treatment, for families going through treatment, bringing real practical and needed support immediately to families who's worlds have turned inside out and facing unimaginably hard times.
I am 49 years old (as of 11th May 26) and my chosen birthday present is an entry to a marathon to raise funds for CALM, which feels completely insane given my fitness level - but I'm determined to make it happen and raise money for other families on this journey.
Please give all you can to get me across the line for this amazing charity
Thinking as CALM's mascot is a tortoise so if I can find a costume I'll be running in that too, but TBC because barely scraping a 5k without a costume right now 😂🐢
