I am supporting the CAUK (Cavernoma Alliance) as my wife has suffered several bleeds in her brain caused by Cavernoma's. Corinne was first diagnosed in 2009 with this rare condition and had various haemorrhages until 2015 when brain surgery was deemed necessary to help stabilise her. The charity has been good providing knowledge and emotional support around this largely unknown condition. Corinne lived a normal healthy life until the final bleed which combined with surgery severely impacted her day to day living. The charity has been supportive around this condition since diagnosis, therefore I have chosen this charity for my Captains year!
